We are holding Pretreatment Training on May 7, 2012. The training will be held in Deadwood, SD. This is a great location for sightseeing (Mt. Rushmore, many caves, fishing, shopping and gold panning). Stay the rest of the week and attend the Region 8 Pretreatment Association Pretreatment Workshop (www.R8PA.com).
The topics for the Workshop are:
Local Limits: Overlooked Data to Collect, Copper MAHL Problems, MAILs and SIU Permit Allocations
ERPs: Enforcement Response Plans and Penalty Policy
Dental: EPA Dental Categorical Standard and Dental BMPs
Amalgam Separators: Hands On: Principles of Operation, ISO 11143 Certification, Vacuum Pumps, Installation of Amalgam Separators (several different brands), Best Management Practices, Inspecting Amalgam Separators.
The afternoon session on amalgam separators and dental BMPs will include hands-on opportunities for attendees. We will have a few of the separators on-site to look at installation and inspecting. Al Dube, a recognized expert on amalgam separators and dental BMPs, will be focusing his presentation on the technical aspects of amalgam separator installation, servicing, vacuum pumps and other related topics.
This 1-day Workshop is designed for municipal POTW pretreatment professionals that would like to develop expertise and refine existing expertise. This Workshop is designed for approved and non-approved pretreatment POTWs. This training is not used to market or otherwise sell services or products. CWACS provides pretreatment training for the benefit of POTWs.
Due to the design of the Workshop, attendance is limited. Register early.
